HI! my name’s allan j. martinez. family and friends call me spooner! and i’m known as spoonr here! (i thought it was clever to follow that tumblr motif). how i got that nickname is another story. if someone asked me how it came to be i’ll answer it. someone has to ask it first! haha! at the moment i am 20 years and 3 days old! i was born on june 7th, 1990 in manila, philippines! i now currently reside in ONTARIO, CANADA! WOOOT! and i am indeed proud to say i am a filipino canadian.

     second panel is where the love of my life resides. thistypeoflove is what she’s known as in the tumblr world. her name’s christine. she is my heroine and i love her. we’ve been together for 2 years now. and we’re proud highschool sweethearts! brought together by a special team known as the yearbook crew with their secret hideout base in room 113! (*side note: we were fortunate enough to have an awesome crew take over for the class of ‘10!, congrats on your work team y’book!). she’s a graphic design hero too! and together me and christine form a team called team awesometastic! that’s right. we have a hero team name! just as a fun fact… the first thing i ever said to her was….

     “i like your shorts…”

     … yeaaahh. i know right? anyways. up next is my family. the loved ones. two of which have a blog here on tumblr as well! petalsonthesea, my sister. and misterqmart, my brother! i definitely love my family. it’s the oldest brother in the front, his girlfriend, my girlfriend, my little sister and my two awesome parents! love ‘em all to bits and pieces! definitely don’t know what kind of life i’d be living without them.

     the next three panels are self explanatory.
FIRST SPIDEY. he’s my most favorite superhero. he reminds me the most of me. his sheer awesomeness, witty lines, SEXY ASS GIRLS IN HIS LIFE, his love for his family. you know? what everyone else says about spidey being their favorite. lolz! everything he stands up for, and everything he fights for are things i abide by.

     SECOND BMAN. the goddamn batman folks! second favorite superhero! mostly cause of his complete BADASSERY. he’s a total badass. we all know it. he’s the most fortunate man on his block and he runs shit! he doesn’t have any special powers. he has money. and he knows how to use it. he can kick ass without anything deadly. no guns, no knives. all he needs is his utility belt and his martial arts training. his struggle of being mortal and 100% human is an inspiration. he’s none like any other superhero yet he can climb the ranks and team up with the likes of Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Supes! BATMAN HOLDS HIS OWN!

     THIRD IRON MAN. Tony effing Stark. yet another billionaire. yet another badass! i loved him before, his alcoholic self, cocky ass mofo, and lady loving. TONNES. of lady loving. but reading these past issues that breeze through with SIEGE has made me love him a lot more! he’s learned his wrongs about his past and he’s definitely had a HUGE change of heart. showing again that the human side of things shine through and win.

     next, love to design. the backdrop is a logo i designed for myself. you can’t see it but the shape it’s in is a speech bubble. that’s to show my huge love for comic books and the arts of. i love graphic design! i’m in school for it at george brown college. going into my second year this september. my dream job is to land a graphic design gig with Marvel Comics or DC or BOTH! haha!

     favorite game of the moment? SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV. i’ve loved the street fighter series ever since i popped street fighter ii: champion edition into my sega genesis when i was a kid! mortal kombat always scared me and i hated it!

     rest in piece michael turner. such an inspiration to me. why? cause people hate him. tonnes of people disliked the way he drew, the lines he scratched, the characters he stylized. yet. he kept doing what he was doing. you know? there’s a reason why he has that job. cause he KICKS ASS AT WHAT HE DOES! he wasn’t afraid to draw his own way, his own style. eff the haters. keep doing what you do.

     it’s all about doing what you love. michael turner will always be an inspiration.

     i do plan on owning that car. if not the z-tune exactly i know i will own and drive the nissan skyline gtr r34! such a beautiful car. and the design of it is just so…. MMMMPH!

     music. what do i listen to? hip hop most of the time. favorite artist of the moment is DRAKE. listening to him right now actually. but i can’t lie. i love music. all kinds actually! you’d never expect it from me. i’ll listen to music from classic rock, reggae, gospel, r&b, pop, country, to drum and bass! all time favorites have to be justin timberlake & kanye west for sure!

     lastly, THE TORONTO RAPTORS. die hard fan. i don’t care how unsuccessful they’ve been in the past years i will always love them and i will always support them! oh and i love playing basketball! sadly to say i haven’t been playing enough of it lately. i should probably get on that. LOLZ!
